About this opportunity:
Within BCSS SA BOS Engineering PDU D&A, the mission of the Development Group Artificial Intelligence (DG AI) unit is to enable the BSS and OSS product and service portfolio with AI features, with a special focus on the Ericsson Telco IT AI Apps. It includes creating innovative solutions using the latest AI technologies, leading towards an AI-native BSS and OSS portfolio. DG
AI is also responsible for spearheading the use of AI in software development inside BOS Engineering and developing, deploying, and operating Ericsson internal AI tools (e.g., AI-driven troubleshooting).

Reporting to the Head of DG AI, this role is pivotal in aligning AI solutions with business objectives, designing scalable AI architectures, and fostering collaboration across various teams. · Business Alignment: Translate business goals into actionable AI solutions, ensuring models deliver tangible business value.
· Architecture Design: Define the overall AI software system architecture, focusing on Generative AI-based systems and incorporating modern software engineering practices and cloud-native principles.
· Scalability and Efficiency: Design AI systems capable of handling large data volumes and scaling efficiently in production environments.
· Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate ML models into applications and systems.
· Technology Evaluation: Stay updated with advancements in AI algorithms, frameworks, and cloud platforms to identify suitable technologies for projects.
· Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and mentor team members on AI best practices and development methodologies.

The skills you bring:
· 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years in AI systems engineering.
· Experience in Gen AI-based system engineering, including MLOps, LLMOps, RAGOps, including hands-on experience with LLMs, embedding models, LLM Orchestration frameworks (e.g. Langchain), and Agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph).
· Strong programming skills in Python.
· Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
· Thrives on accountability and is motivated to achieve beyond expectations.
· Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Job description
Do you want to contribute to the development of Blekinge Institute of Technology's growing research and educational environment in visual and interactive computer science with a focus on game technology? Do you, together with existing researchers and teachers, also want to contribute to the new development of education in this area at BTH:s main campus in Karlskrona? Then this role as Senior Lecturer in Computer Science with a specialisation in Game Technology is something for you!

Responsibilities
The position considers a permanent senior lecturer position in computer science with a specialisation in game technology with a focus on graphics programming for visual and interactive computing. Included in the employment will be to contribute to our growing research and education environment within visual and interactive computing at the main campus in Karlskrona at BTH, together with existing researchers and lecturers. A part of the work will also be to contribute to the developments of game technology educational programs at BTH. The development work should be carried out in collaboration with industry and civil society. In addition, supervision for degree projects at the undergraduate and advanced level, as well as doctoral students in the subject area will be included. The work will also consist of applying for external research funding at both national and international level. 

During the first four-year period, a research share of at least 50% of the employment is guaranteed. There are also resources to fund a doctoral student. The employment is part of the strategic recruitments within the gaming area at BTH, which is partly financed by the Knowledge Foundation. 

We are a committed group of 12 people in this area and all together the department consists of 70 associates.We are also currently reviewing the entire education programs in the area of game technology. Qualifications
To fit into the role of senior lecturer, you have demonstrated pedagogical skills and completed a doctoral degree or have equivalent scientific competence or any other professional skills that are important with regard to the employment's subject content and the tasks to be included in the employment. International applicants should initially be able to teach in English. We expect a non-Swedish-speaking employee to acquire sufficient Swedish skills within three years to be able to teach in Swedish and communicate with the university's units/ functions in Swedish.

Our Exciting Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Data Science Development Leader to work in the DICE Team (Data Science for R&D Acceleration). DICE supports our product development organization by using data science to increase the existing processes' efficiency and effectiveness. The team develops and maintains tools, ETL pipelines, and dashboards used by thousands of users in Ericsson. It also drives technology leadership projects, where groundbreaking ideas are developed and evaluated.
This role has individual contribution and technology leadership scope. The ideal candidate will be a go-getter and problem solver who is passionate about building and deploying data science-based solutions.

Responsibilities
You will lead the DICE team from both data science and software development perspectives. It includes the following:
Working with the team to deliver end-to-end data science-based solutions (e.g. machine learning solutions and dashboards), influencing, and driving exciting projects to completion
Understanding and evaluate requirements, translating business problems to data science metrics
Leading and guiding the team to design and implement innovative data science solutions effectively
Working closely with domain specialists to design data and workflow pipelines, turning initial prototypes into production-ready solutions (minimum viable products)
Preparing, documenting, and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Contribute to Ericsson's Intellectual Property through patents or external publications (white papers, blog posts, or peer-reviewed publications)
Establishing thought leadership and engaging closely with the data science community and ecosystem
Mentoring and guiding junior members in the team, including master thesis students and summer interns


To be successful in the role you must have
Ms.C. or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering, or equivalent
At least four years of professional experience in data science, especially statistical modeling and machine learning
Deep understanding of statistics and machine learning techniques, including their underlying mathematical concepts and industry trends
Solid production engineering development experience with Python, , Sklean, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or any of the prevailing AI/ML frameworks
Proficient understanding of ETL processes, model lifecycle management, and engineering design standard methodologies
Ability to create complex dashboards, primarily using Tableau
A knack for creativity and the ability to formulate problems and solve them independently
An interest to constantly learn, communicate, interact, share information, and willingness to help others

You might also have the following:
Experience in leading data science projects
Experience in writing and presenting white papers, journal articles, and technical blogs
Knowledge in data science applied to software engineering improvement
Knowledge in MLOps
