Working closely with customers, we develop, manufacture and install efficient, environmentally friendly, and technologically advanced high-voltage cables, (HVC), for land and offshore applications worldwide. We also offer a unique production environment for the latest cable technologies on the global market.Your challengesWe are now searching for skilled individuals to join our team as a Commercial and Tender Manager. You will have the opportunity to work as part of our team in the Interconnectors (between different countries) and Oil & Gas segments.With your technical knowledge, and business-minded approach, you will have primary responsibility for the tendering of large, global, and highly complex projects, many of which are for major installations, with tenders that run for a number of years. You will be expected to lead your project tender team to meet customer requirements and expectations. Therefore, you will have ample opportunity to apply your creativity in structuring and creating robust solutions, within restraints such as internal resources and customer budgets.You will work closely with NKT’s global front end sales organization, legal experts, local engineers, production units, planners and installation experts, to ensure that projects move forward and meet deadlines. Other responsibilities will include presenting our solutions to customers, and to lead negotiations, further develop our extensive network of contacts, and work to achieve success in our tenders, many of which are for major stakeholders in the international market. Your profileYou preferably hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commercial Management or similar. You also have several years’ experience of managing major projects, preferably in site work in the power, offshore or construction sectors. You are an effective negotiator, with experience of major engineering, procurement & construction, (EPC), projects including where you successfully dealt with issues such as risk management.You thrive in international and fast-moving environments, where you have the opportunity of applying your analytical abilities, strong social skills, and integrity. Moreover, you are a driven, and independent person, who provides excellent team leadership. You coach and motivate your team, encouraging them to continually develop their skills, and you enjoy collaborating and sharing experiences with colleagues and customers.Other benefits may include a wide-ranging understanding of technology, specifically transmission systems & high-voltage cables, and the ability to present complex ideas to others with an emphasis on being solution orientated.
