In the role of Project Engineer at NKT, you will manage the technical scope of delivery projects and ensure that our cable system designs align with customer requirements, industry standards and project goals. You will work with advanced modelling tools, perform electrical, thermal and mechanical calculations and act as a key technical voice from contract handover to project completion. By coordinating with stakeholders, you secure specifications, manage documentation and risks and help ensure safe, efficient and high?quality project execution.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing technical aspects of the project.
* Designing high-quality, cost-effective cable systems in adherence to customer specifications and industry standards.
* Conducting technical calculations encompassing electrical, thermal, and mechanical aspects.
* Managing cost calculations for products, testing, and engineering work.
* Assessing risks and opportunities in delivery projects.
* Serving as a technical interface to customers in delivery projects.
Crafting technical documents outlining the proposed solutions for customers.

Lead high-quality engineering studies
Do you want to lead and coordinate a project team in the creation of high-quality engineering studies and technology qualification programs for high-voltage cable solutions? Manage innovative engineering solutions
In this role, you will lead cross-functional project teams including engineering, R&D, simulations, cable installation, testing, manufacturing, and planning to execute Front End Engineering Development (FEED) projects, including concept studies and technology qualification programs.

Your role will be to:
* Ensure the effective execution of projects (A-Z), managing budget, time schedule, and quality of deliverables
* Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
* Provide regular progress reports to clients and internal teams
* Establish tender content, including scope of work descriptions, costs, and timelines.
* Occasionally conduct technical work such as cable system design and organizing qualification programs
* When the main projects allow, you will also lead projects related to early-stage tenders and product maintenance


You will be part of a collaborative, open minded and international team. You will report to the Senior Manager of Front-End Engineering and work primarily from our offices in Karlskrona or Malmö (Hyllie). If you are located in our Malmö Office, we expect you to be in Karlskrona 1 day bi-weekly. Planned and occasional domestic travel for e.g. client meetings, is estimated to 5-20 days per year.

Collaborative and technical Project Manager with an interest in engineering
We are looking for a customer focused and result-oriented individual who is skilled in project team leadership and motivated by structuring and driving complex engineering studies. It is important that you enjoy collaborating with people and have well-developed communication abilities. 

You also have:
* A Bachelor or Master of Science degree or similar
* Experience with cable systems, electrical and mechanical systems, or the offshore industry is beneficial
* Experience as a Project Manager and a Project Management certificate is beneficial.
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and MS Project.
* Fluency in English

* Ha översikt över det tekniska området i projektet och driva alla tekniska leverabler.
* Designa högkvalitativa och kostnadseffektiva kabelsystem baserat på kundens specifikationer och alla relevanta standarder.
* Utföra tekniska beräkningar i våra program som omfattar bland annat elektriska, termiska och mekaniska beräkningar.
* Ta ansvar för kostnadskalkyler relaterade till produkterna, tester och ingenjörsarbete i projekt.

* Fungerar som tekniskt gränssnitt mot kund i leveransprojekt (majoritet utanför Sverige).

Analytical and inquisitive problem solver with good communication skills to develop future cable systems
In this role you be a part of R&D projects developing future cable systems with a special focus on mechanical design & quality analysis of the designs related to cable accessories & our future lead-free/dynamic cable systems.Your main tasks will be to act as a technical interface supporting R&D projects with your experience and expertise in mechanical design requirements and improvements related to the cables & accessories. This includes supporting the projects in the identifying improvement areas, defining test protocol for small scale and full scale testing, ensure industrialization, setting requirements towards other interfaces and ensuring they are delivered. The work also includes doing laboratory testing as well as evaluating test data and simulation results, as applicable.

You will be a part of a highly academic and skilled team, based in Karlskrona in the southern part of Sweden. You will be working close with production as well as collaboration with experts within different areas across several sites within NKT.

You work well in a role where you effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members to achieve the project goals as well as being able to work independently. You enjoy and are good at analyzing data. You also have the ability to deliver additional conclusions and recommendations. Your Role as a Project Engineer
As a Project Engineer at NKT, you'll be at the forefront of helping us deliver advanced cable systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Driving all technical aspects of the project.
* Designing high-quality, cost-effective cable systems in adherence to customer specifications and industry standards.
* Conducting technical calculations encompassing electrical, thermal, and mechanical aspects.
* Managing cost calculations for products, testing, and engineering work.
* Assessing risks and opportunities in delivery projects.
* Serving as a technical interface to customers in delivery projects, with a majority of interactions taking place outside Sweden.
* Crafting technical documents outlining the proposed solutions for customers.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have:
* A Master's degree in a technical field, such as electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, or chemistry.
* Proficiency in modern IT tools for engineering, such as Matlab and Comsol.
* Fluency in both Swedish and English (spoken and written), as external communication are predominantly done in English.
* Experience in a related technical field would be advantageous.

Vi söker dig som vill ta nästa steg i din personliga utveckling och har erfarenhet från byggbranschen. Du kommer sannolikt från beställar-, konsult- eller entreprenadsidan och har arbetat som projektledare, platschef, entreprenadingenjör eller kalkylingenjör. Du har tidigare erfarenhet från något kalkylverktyg samt mängdavtagningsprogram, till exmepel BidCon och Bluebeam. As a Project Leader in our multi-cultural R&D team, you will lead and coordinate both local and cross functional projects with the purpose of developing future world class high voltage cable systems. Take the lead in our Front-End Engineering Projects 
Europe undergoes a transition in meeting the ambitious climate targets of reducing emissions with 55% by 2030 and being fully climate neutral by 2050. Electrification with renewable energy is paramount in meeting the targets and Energy company’s does therefore require advanced transmission systems. Our Front-End Engineering (FEED) team design and qualify state of the art technology by technical project studies and conducts technology qualification programs, this on behalf of NKT end-customers.  

We are now in growing and are looking for a Technical Project Manager with focus on leading these projects. With your customer focus, technical interest, and business-minded approach, you will have the primary responsibility to ensure a successful execution of the projects. 

Your primary tasks will be:  

* Responsibility of all aspects of in execution of FEED projects, such as concept studies and technology qualification programs. 
* Lead cross functional project teams; this including engineering, R&D, simulations, cable installation, testing, manufacturing and planning. 
* Progress reporting to end customers on a frequent basis. 
* Connecting, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally. 
* Establish tender content such as scope of work descriptions, costs and time-lines for coming FEED projects. 
* Secondary tasks are to conduct technical work such as cable system design and organizing qualification programs (thus not mandatory).

As a Project Cluster Manager, you will lead other project managers both for machinery and buildings. Your role will be to coordinate and bridge the dialogue between the different project within your cluster and have the overall responsibility for cost, time and performance for the entire cluster. In this role, you'll oversee ongoing investment projects in production equipment, cable machinery, and production buildings. You'll be responsible for projects ranging from 10-100 million SEK, lasting 2-4 years. Compliance with project methodology and evaluation of health, safety, and environmental parameters will be part of your role.

To succeed in this role, it will be advantageous to have experience in production/industry as well as experience leading large projects.
Since every solution and High Voltage cable is designed based on customer requirements, the workflow needs to be consistent yet flexible to suit the needs of developing departments while still continuing to maintain budget, plans and deadlines.

What you’ll bring
In order to succeed in the role of Cluster Manager, it is advantageous to have experience in production/industry. Previous experience from larger project management is needed. You should also be adept at making quick decisions, delegating tasks, and maintaining a goal-oriented approach. Strong leadership skills, empathy, and appreciation for diversity are essential.
Further important qualifications are:
* Bachelor´s Master degree in Mechanical Engineering of similar, or experience within Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing or similar is beneficial.

Take lead in important investment projects for new machines and production equipment.
The Project Cluster Manager is effectively a portfolio manager and will be responsible for maintaining the program and budget delivery of his or her cluster. Reporting directly to both the Production Investments Manager and the overall Program Manager, this role will also require the continuous coordination with the other Project Cluster Managers. Other roles will include:
* Certifying purchases and invoices provided by the Project Manager within the Cluster, and to make financial decision within the project framework.
* To protect the Cluster budget and escalate any issues which may affect the financial outcome.
* Ensuring optimal resource use within each project and between clusters.
* Identifying critical path activities and events which may affect the general plan.
* To ensure activities are not overlooked or duplicated with the projects, or between each cluster.
* To direct and motivate the project team. 
* To protect and control the budget, time schedule, quality, risk, resources.
* Monitoring Health & Safety compliance within each project and instigate any remedial action.
* Compiling and issuing the monthly report outlining progress, cost, risks and the mitigation actions undertaken.

As Cluster Manager at NKT you will have the overall responsibility over a number of ongoing investment projects within the area of production equipment, machinery for cable production and production buildings. The investment value the cluster lead is responsible for can be between 10-100 million SEK and have a term of between 2-4 years. You will be monitoring all aspects of the projects within the cluster and ensuring that it follow our process project methodology for investments (PMFI), as well as evaluating Health, Safety and Environmental parameters in the projects.
The preferred candidate has desirable following qualifications:
* Previous experience of economic planning, budget and cost follow up.
* Experienced in Microsoft Office and systems as SAP. Microsoft Project is meriting.
* Experience from Props/ GATE Method for Project Management is beneficial.
* Knowledge in CE-marking, machine directive and applicable standards are considered a merit, but not necessary.

Result focused and collaborative leader
In order to succeed in the role of Cluster Manager, it is advantageous to have experience in production/industry. Previous experience from larger project management is needed.
Since every solution and High Voltage cable is designed from customer requirements, the workflow needs to be consistent yet flexible to suit the needs of developing departments while still maintaining budget, plans and deadlines. You need to be able to make quick decisions and delegate to keep focus on results and delivery. Your goal oriented stance ensures that deadlines are always met.
You are an assertive leader whilst remaining empathetic with a strong recognition for the positives in diversity. You never fail to recognize the great assets different people, competences and collaborations are to a project.
Further important qualifications are:
* Bachelor´s Master degree in Mechanical Engineering of similar, or experience within Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing or similar is beneficial.
* Fluency in Swedish and English.

Rådgiva och stödja
I ditt dagliga arbete kommer du som maskinsäkerhetsexpert ge råd och stödja våra projekt så att säkerhetsaspekten inkluderas vid designen och byggnationen av maskinerna.
Du har en teknisk bakgrund inom el, automation eller mekatronik och arbete med konstruktion av säkerhetsrelaterade funktioner i styrsystem, pneumatiska och hydrauliska system.
Våra främsta fokus är HSE, säker användning av maskin, efterlevnad av lagkrav och kvalitet och arbetet utförs med utgångspunkt i NKT:s verksamhetspolicy.

Dina huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifter är följande:

As Project Manager at NKT you will be in charge of the projects, mainly against Production, with budgetary planning, timeframes and resource allocation as your area of responsibility. You will be responsible for investing in new machines and equipment that will be used to produce our cables. Development and working with strategies are another section of your role in the department.
During projects you’ll be responsible for applying evidence from preliminary studies to further ensure and develop the quality of safety and delivery. You’ll be cooperating with other departments as well. You will be monitoring all aspects of the project and ensuring that it follows project methodology for investments (PMFI), as well as evaluating Health, Safety and Environmental parameters in the project. As Project Manager your will be analyzing, predicting and preventing risks and present continuous result reports to department management.

 As a Tender Lead Engineer in our multi-cultural team you will contribute in designing our world class AC and DC cable systems to our international customers.
Drive the technical scope commercially 
As a supplier of complete cable systems, we are in an expanding phase where you will be a significant part of our Engineering team. In the role as Lead Engineer you will be working with the design of the most advanced cable systems on the market in our tenders and/or our delivery projects. You will use both in-house developed and commercially available software to design cable systems in all aspects; electrical, mechanical and thermal. Your calculations make it possible to create cost efficient solutions while adhering to relevant standards. 
You are eager to tailor NKT’s technical offer to customer requirements and applicable standards while maintaining responsibility of risk, budget and schedule. 
You will dealing with all aspects of a commercial offer or the execution of a project, such as commercial, legal, planning and installation activities.
Your primary tasks will be: 
* Driving the technical scope in tender projects
* Designing high quality and cost-efficient cable systems based on customer’s specifications and all relevant standards
* Performing calculations for full technical scope including electrical, thermal and mechanical calculations
* Taking responsibility for cost calculations related to the products, tests and engineering work in tenders
* Assessing risks and opportunities in tender projects
* Responsible for understanding and consider customer’s contract/specifications
* Serving as the technical interface to customer in tender/delivery project.

Analytical and collaborative engineer with good communication skills
To succeed in this role you have a high technical interest and competence. You take an active role in your own competence building by actively identifying and pursuing areas of improvement.
